In #0k, I explore society's obsession with high-resolution perfection by intentionally creating low-resolution images. I achieve this by placing materials like oils, fabrics, and plastics between my camera and the subject, resulting in blurred or distorted photos. This approach critiques the focus on technical perfection I often came across while working in Hollywood, where equipment quality often overshadowed artistic vision. Through #0k, I want to emphasize that meaningful art doesn’t require clarity or precision, echoing my broader interest in the impermanent and disintegrating nature of memory.
